rePark app for Android

rePark has no accounts, servers, ads or analytics. Your parking spot, note, photo and settings stay on your phone. Location leaves the phone only towards Google, to draw the map and look up the address.

The saved parking spot: coordinates, accuracy, date and time, address. The note, photo and reminder you add. Settings: the Bluetooth device chosen as your car (device name and address), the mode, the theme. A log of the last 5 automatic saves, with outcome and accuracy but no coordinates.
They are stored in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot access. Google backup, if enabled on the phone, includes only the settings: not the parking spot, the photo or the log.
When you tap "Save parking spot" or the widget's button. While the parking screen is open, to show distance and direction.
Only if you turn on "Save without asking" and grant "Allow all the time": for about 30 seconds when the car disconnects from the phone, even with the app closed. Before asking for that permission the app explains what it is for. You can revoke it at any time in the phone settings.
Map: to draw it, the phone requests map images of the parking area from Google Maps (Maps SDK for Android), so the coordinates of that area reach Google.
Address: to turn coordinates into an address, rePark uses the phone's geocoding service, provided by Google.
Google processes this data under its own policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. rePark does not keep it anywhere else.
Navigation and sharing happen through apps you choose (maps, messaging), only when you tap them.
It does not sell, transfer or share data with third parties. It shows no ads. It uses no analytics or tracking tools. It requires no sign-up.
Location (precise): save the spot and guide you to the car. Background location ("Allow all the time"): only for automatic saving. Bluetooth devices: recognise the car. Notifications: automatic saving and reminders. Exact alarms: an on-time parking expiry alert. Internet: the map only.
Data stays until you tap "I found my car", or until you reconnect to the car if that option is on. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling it deletes everything. The developer has no copy of your data.
The app is not intended for children.
Since the developer neither collects nor stores your data, deletion is in your hands as described above. For any question write to stefano@focarazzo.it. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
